The Carolina Southern Railroad [CALA] is the 1995 successor to the Mid Atlantic Railroad of the ex-CSX line from Whiteville to Mullins. CALA also operates the line from Chadbourn NC to Conway SC. A division of the Baltimore & Annapolis Railroad). The photos below were taken at Chadbourn. The locos depicted here, as is the case with many shortlines, are former mainline locos.
